Boris Johnson has told MPs about his plans to lift all remaining Covid legal restrictions in England.
This begins by ending the need to self-isolate after testing positive from Thursday and also sees an end to routine contact tracing.
His statement in the House of Commons came after a cabinet meeting amid reports of tensions over the future of free lateral flow testing and ahead of a press conference Monday night.
He had told MPs before the break of his intention to end the rules “a whole month” earlier than March 24.
