SpaceX launches 46 more Starlink internet satellites in 7th flight this year

SpaceX launched another 46 Starlink satellites On Monday, as the company continues to build its growing constellation of Internet broadcasting stations.

Using a first-stage propeller making its 11th flight, the Falcon 9 rocket took off from the Cape Canaveral Space Force Station in Florida at 9:44 a.m. EST, rising southeast toward an orbit. tilted 53 degrees to the equator.

After taking the vehicle out of the dense lower atmosphere, the first stage crashed and flew back to land in a SpaceX dronship as the upper stage continued into space. Starlinks were launched in a single batch approximately one hour after launch.

Monday’s flight was the 141th launch of SpaceX’s Falcon 9 and the seventh so far this year, bringing the total number of Starlinks launched so far to 2,137. In the last flight, 1,542 Starlinks were assumed to be operational, according to veteran space analyst Jonathan McDowell. The successful landing was the company’s 81st at sea and 107th overall.
