PMQs: Starmer and Johnson on energy loans and rising costs

Labor had said average energy bills would rise by £700 but people would face a £200 ‘forced’ loan in a government game that ‘certainly appeared to fail’.

He asked when the government would reverse this policy if prices continued to rise.

Boris Johnson reminded him there would be an energy independence plan in the next few days, and the Prime Minister claimed that this was partly to do with Labor not investing in nuclear power.
