BRADLEY Walsh was surprised after a candidate revealed a link to the royal family in the episode of The Chase tonight.
The hit ITV quiz show is back on screens on Thursday night and sees Will, Jon, Lauren and Mamta face Paul Sinha in a battle of common knowledge.
When Jon climbed to the podium, he told Bradley that he played in bands, but later left the dream of making cabinets instead.
The participant’s connections with the royal family then came to light after Bradley asked him about his job as a cabinetmaker – and it turns out that one of his clients was as regal as they come.
As he learned about his craft-related profession, Bradley asked the craftsman what was the best thing he had ever designed.
It was then that John revealed that he had once been commissioned to build a table for none other than Zara Tindall, the daughter of Princess Anne and the 21st in line on the throne.
It is said that she is the eldest granddaughter of Her Majesty, Queen Elizabeth and the late Prince Philip, Duke of Edinburgh.
Later in the game, Jon and his teammate Lauren made it to the finals against The Sinnerman, with a total of £ 9k to grab.
The duo was caught by Paul with over ten seconds on the clock.
Despite the defeat, Quizzer Paul complimented them on their quiz skills and said they played well in the finals.
The Chase will be broadcast on ITV on weekdays at 5pm.
