Patrick’s Day 2022 Parade routes with me

The St. Patrick’s Day is here and that means parades, parties, and holidays that take place throughout the United States. Many parades only come back from cancellations due to COVID-19, so no doubt thousands of revelers don their best green outfits and go on the road enjoying the festivities. Below are some of the biggest and best parades taking place this year.

New York, New York

The parade in New York is expected to be the largest st.

New York City’s 2022 St. Patrick’s Day Parade will be held on Thursday, March 17, starting promptly at 11 a.m. local time and ending at approximately 4:30 p.m. local time. The parade is expected to show an estimated 200,000 people marching on Fifth Avenue, starting at East 44th Street and East 79th Street.

Spectators are advised to arrive as early as they wish, but the sooner they want to, the better for a good view along 5th Avenue.

The parade stops at noon for a moment of silence to honor the 20th anniversary of the 9/11 terrorist attacks and to honor the victims of the COVID-19 pandemic. A prayer is given by Cardinal Dolan on the steps of St. Peter’s Cathedral. They then play Taps and Amazing Grace before the parade returns and continues on Fifth Avenue.

James Callahan, President of the International Union of Operating Engineers, will serve Grand Marshall this year. The parade is dedicated to essential workers and first responders and will also honor the Irish American labor movement, marking the 100th anniversary of the formation of the Irish government.

Savannah, Georgia

The second largest st.

D’Savannah St. The parade will feature marches, floats and other family-oriented entertainment.

Visitors to the parade can also enjoy the fountains in the city parks and places with water that has been dyed emerald green for the occasion.

San Antonio, Texas

San Antonio is organizing an entire weekend of St. Louis.

The St. Patrick’s Festival & River Parade begins with the colors of the River Walk green, Thursday, March 17 at 1 p.m. local time.

The festival will take place on Villita Way in La Villita, Friday and Saturday and will feature live music, food trucks, games and family-friendly entertainment.

The Bud Light St. A procession of 12 Irish-themed decorated swimming pools will follow the parade route. Some bagpipers and other entertainers will enjoy the swim.

Scranton, Pennsylvania

While it may be more famous for The Office, Scranton Pennsylvania is home to one of St. Louis’ largest parades.

D’Scranton St. Patricks Parade begins at 11:45 a.m. local time Saturday, March 19th, following the Parade Day Mass in St. Louis.

The parade will feature an estimated 12,000 participants, including bagpipe bands, floats and large balloons.

The parade route begins on Wyoming Ave in front of St. Peter’s Cathedral, proceeds to Lackawanna Ave. about Jefferson Ave. then down Spruce St to get to Washington Ave. where it passed the William J. Nealon Federal Building and finally the review stand. It ends at the corner of North Washington and Vine.

Organizers advise those wishing to enter the parade and park in downtown Scranton to arrive early before the streets close on Saturday morning at 9.30am. Wyoming Ave is considered to be a good place for spectators, as are the leaves close to the rating booth on North Washington Ave.

Boston, Massachusetts

The st. Patrick’s Day Parade in Boston, Massachusetts, is the oldest parade in the US Boston’s Irish community, first marched in 1737 to recreate the festivities of their homeland.

This year, South Boston St.

It starts at Broadway ‘T’ Station and ends at Farragut Road, South Boston and is expected to follow West Broadway to Perkins Square and continue on East Broadway, then follow East Broadway to Farragut Road, which ends at Parade marked. Unlike previous years, the parade will take a shortened route decided on at the height of the Omicron outbreak.

Spectators are advised to find a spot all along Broadway for the best views and are also encouraged to use public transport as on-street parking is limited. Those who want to avoid people are advised to see the parade of the Medal of Honor Park or Thomas Park.
