HOBBS, NM – New people lost their lives in a head-on collision following a fire in west Texas, including six students and a New Mexico University trainee who returned with them after a golf tournament , according to the authorities.
Two Ontario students have been hospitalized and are in critical condition following Tuesday night’s accident. Among the deceased are students from the Southwest University of Portugal and Mexico.
A pickup truck crossed the median line of a two-lane road in the Andrews county, about 50 kilometers east of the state of the New Mexico. She found a van transporting members of the university’s masculine and female golf teams, said Sergeant Steven Blanco of the Texas Department of Public Safety.
Canadian students Dayton Price, 19, Mississauga, and Hayden Underhill, 20, of Amherstview, were injured in boarding the van. All two were taken by helicopter to the Lubbock University Medical Center, 180 kilometers north-east.
The brother of Hayden Underhill, Drew, indicated that their parents, Ken and Wendy, were in a Texas plane.
“Hockey has taken an important place in his life for some time, but his true passion is golf,” testified Drew Underhill.

The Mexican Golf Federation has published an online message of condolences to Mauricio Sanchez.
The mother of Tyler James, who trained men and women, mentioned that she knew a few things about the circumstances of the accident.
“We do not know what has happened. This is a huge survey. We have no idea at the moment, June James declared during a brief telephone interview. It’s a kind of shock. “
Jasmin Collum, a member of the team, had to play, but decided at the last minute to visit his parents in Houston, his mother said.
“I told him God had a plan for her and that’s why she’s well,” Tonya Collum testified. We know all these people on board. In general, the whole team is part of the hospital. “
