During a performance on Lorraine on Tuesday, he said, “It’s hard to promote a stupid comedy film in this heartbreaking situation.”
However, show host Lorraine Kelly, 62, insisted that people in the UK at the moment needed some relief, and told him: ‘You know what, for God’s sake, do we ever need a laugh?
“Do we ever need something that is dull and stupid and bawdy and rude – that’s what we need now.”
