Dallas Stars Daily Links: (Lack of) Secondary Scoring

The Dallas Stars have one of the best forward lines in the league with Jason Robertson, Joe Pavelski, and Roope Hintz. After that? Not much, and it hurts the team a lot when the top line does not appear on the scoreboard:

“We have one goal the last two road games,” Bowness said. “That’s unacceptable, so we have to try things. Nothing is out of the game, we’re trying everything to create an insult.

So the endless quest is to find the best line combinations for Dallas, which includes putting some new faces into the lineup. Marian Studenic made his Stars debut in the last game, and Jacob Peterson could return to the lineup after being a healthy striker in three of the last four:

“I thought he was a little tired last week when we took him out,” Bowness said. “He’s not used to the grind of an NHL season and it became obvious. He has some free time now. He just needs to get back up to where he used to be. It’s understandable, your first year in the league. You’re used to playing 50 games and a lot of practice, and it’s exactly the opposite here.
