Here’s what you know about the late lunch games on the home page:
Number 2 Villanova vs. Number 15 Delaware (approximately 2:45 p.m., CBS): Villanova will have a key piece on his roster that he did not have in the NCAA tournament last year: Collin Gillespie. The Veterans Guard came out last year with a knee injury and came back even better, leading the Wildcats in points and assists. He will face up to Delaware front-runner Jameer Nelson Jr., the son of former St. John’s.
No. 7 Southern California vs. No. 10 Miami (Fla.) (About 3:10 p.m., TruTV): Coach Andy Enfield’s USC squad is back in the tournament and is looking to make another push after reaching the Elite Eight last year. The USC is led by Isaiah Mobley, who scored 14.3 points per game. Miami ranked as No. 10, using a 4-3 record against Quad 1 teams in the regular season to bolster its fall for the selection committee.
Number 6 Alabama vs. Number 11 Notre Dame (approximately 4:15 p.m., TNT): Alabama could be on alert – depending on which version of Crimson Tide shows up on Friday. Alabama has taken down the top seed Baylor and Gonzaga this season, but also lost to Georgia, whose only victory in the SEC came against Crimson Tide. They will face Notre Dame, who won the First Four match, 89-87 in the double overtime, against Rutgers.
No. 6 Texas vs. No. 11 Virginia Tech (approximately 4:30 p.m., TBS): This matchup puts two teams in opposite directions. Texas blew a 20-point lead in the Big 12 tournament and lost its quarterfinal game to TCU. Virginia Tech made a surprise run to the ACC Tournament Championship, winning four games in four days.
