At its simplest, the LA Clippers were not happy with the officers in their game against the Toronto Raptors. Reggie Jackson, who is usually the happiest person after games, made sure people knew it.
Jackson only spoke for 3 minutes and 45 seconds during his postgame, when he usually talks well about it. He also only wanted to talk about one topic, NBA official Natalie Sago. When reporters wanted to talk about the game, Jackson only wanted to talk about Sago’s officers.
“Their best players made it difficult for us tonight,” said Reggie Jackson. “Nat was great. Natalie played amazing. That was hard for us. We had to hold back our hands, keep people out of the glass, and they just kept going. So hat for her, and hat for her. . “

For back-to-back games, the Clippers have controversial calls that ultimately affect the outcome of their chances of victory. Against the Cavaliers, Caris LeVert clearly fouled Amir Coffey during a transition game that should have given the Clippers a free kick to win the game. The very next game, Terance Mann barely makes contact with Fred VanVleet to give the Raptors a free kick on what should have been a turnover. The Clippers had their chances to win both games despite the officer, but the team is independently excited.
The most ironic thing about all of this is that in both situations the NBA’s Last 2 Minute report ruled out both the non-call and the call as the correct officer. A comment that only an excited clipper team will make, even more unfortunate.
