Curry went down late in the first half with an injury to his left foot and Golden State coach Steve Kerr did not like Marcus Smart’s lung movement at the reigning NBA scoring champion.
Smart got an ear from Kerr, then they spoke again after the Boston Celtics beat the Warriors 110-88 on Wednesday night.
“I thought it was a dangerous game. I thought Marcus and Steph were kneeling,” Kerr said. “That’s what surprised me. Lots of respect for Marcus, he’s a hell of a player, gamer, competitor. I trained him at the World Cup a few summers ago. We talked after the game, we’re fine. I did. thought it was a dangerous game, just let him know.
Curry was injured with 4:19 left in the second quarter along the sideline while crossing after a loose ball as Smart dived into the game and landed on the legs of the reigning champions. Curry grimaced in pain and got up, but threw himself along before heading out to the next dead ball moments later.
That came as Smart made another aggressive play, getting a Flagrant 1 foul 4:09 before the break as he jumped and caught his leg on Klay Thompson’s shooting arm.

Kerr said Curry plans to have an MRI exam after the game, the results of which are expected to be officially unveiled sometime Thursday.
Warriors forward Juan Toscano-Anderson said Smart wanted the ball but could be able to use more caution.
“I do not think it was a dirty game,” Toscano-Anderson said. “… We all know Marcus is smart, but, that’s how he plays, he’s creepy.”
Draymond Green was whispered for a technical whistle for a foul, which Thompson shouted against Smart at the 1:48 mark, with Green throwing his arms into the air in fear and shouting.
