The first UEFA Europa Conference League enters the quarter-finals with the last eight teams battling to be the first to claim the trophy. The draw was held on March 18 and featured some convincing matches.
Italian side AS Roma was drawn against Norwegian surprise outfit Bodo / Glimt in a group stage rematch. Bodo / Glimt came away with a draw in Rome (2-2) and a famous home win 6-1. The Norwegian club showed that there was no luck when it withdrew AZ Alkmaar from the tournament in the round of 16.
The Feyenoord vs. Slavia Prague The quarterfinals will also be a rematch of the group stage. The Dutch team won better than the previous two matches, won at home (2-1) and came out on top on the road in the Czech Republic with 2-2.
The Marquee quarter-final matchup, however, must be the battle between the English Premier League side Leicester City and Dutch powers PSV Eindhoven. The winner of this quarter-final may come up in the semi-final against AS Roma if the Italians finish it.
Olympique Marseille Fans will be pleased with their draw as they face off against Greek side PAOK in the quarterfinals with the winner of the Feyenoord-Slavia Prague series next in a potential semi-final.

The winner of the first semi-final (Leicester City, PSV Eindhoven, Bodo / Glimt or AS Roma) has been named as the host of the Conference League final, even though it is the only match to be played in a neutral place in the Albanian capital Tirana. .
The designation of the home team for the finals is important for administrative, procedural and competitive purposes as in the case of benches and jersey tasks.
Conference League quarterfinal schedule
Conference League action takes place on Thursday, and the first legs of the quarterfinals will stick to that schedule. They take place on April 7, with the second stages being played on April 14.
After that, the first stages of the semifinals will take place on Thursday, April 28th, and the second stages will take place on Thursday, May 5th.
The finals will buck the trend and will be played on Wednesday, May 25. The inaugural Conference League finals will be held at the Arena Kombetare in Tirana, Albania.

Could teams from the same country meet in the quarterfinals?
Even if teams from the same country could not meet in the group stage or in the 16th round of the Conference League, this rule does not apply from the quarter finals.
Therefore, the two Dutch sides in the competition – PSV Eindhoven or Feyenoord – could potentially be drawn in the last eight. That did not happen, but they were able to face each other in a very Dutch final on May 25th.
Was the quarterfinals excellent?
Group stage seeding was only one factor in the draw for the knockout round playoffs and the later round 16.
In the playoffs of the knockout round, teams that finished as runners-up in their Conference League groups were considered as seeds. They hosted the second leg of these playoffs against the “unseen” team that had been relegated from the Europa League.
In the round of 16, teams that finished first in the Conference League group stage were considered “seeds” and they hosted the second leg, which is a noticeable advantage. (Any potential extension session or penalty shoot-out would take place in the home country.)
However, starting with the quarterfinals, there were no restrictions on which teams could pull the other. It was an open draw with no land protection, no seeds and no other conditions.
