CBS ‘Remy Martin graphic is instantly Jeers

Kansas (-12) is a popular choice to go all the way to the men’s NCAA tournament. They may not be the best squad on paper that Bill himself has ever trained, but they could cut the nets.

And even if Kansas does not have a No. 1 seed, you would think that a television network would do its due diligence and put the minimum effort into presentation. You know, like, it’s time to highlight some of the top players from one of the top teams in the country.

There are two general rules to follow:

First, when you call people by name, you pronounce their names correctly. Made. Easy. Secondly, in what is inevitably just as important when displaying graphics of the games, make sure that your photos (or photoshops) resemble the ones they are meant to represent.

One did not pass the second note to CBS during Kansas’ game with Creighton. During one of the first commercial breaks, the network showed a graphic featuring Ochai Agbaji on the left, Christian Braun on the right, and one who definitely is not Remy Martin in the middle.

Former Jayhawk Landen Lucas took to Twitter to share Photoshop fumble.

Fairness: I’m sure who this young man, who is not Martin, is still nice and kind. But overall, graphic design is also my passion.

The official Kansas men’s basketball account then weighed in on Snafu once Lucas blew up the graphic.

At this point, there is no word on whether CBS is aware of who Remy Martin is. But the competent authorities assure us: they will deliver updates as they come. My advice for the next time would be to do a more extensive Google search if you type “Remy Martin”. I’m still confused, but I will not move on.
