ITV Coronation Street star Tina O’Brien surprises This Morning fans with her age

Tina O’Brien made a rare interview appearance in her dramatic Coronation Street storyline.

The actress, best known for starring Sarah Barlow – no Platt – on ITV soap, appeared on This Morning on Friday to chat with hosts Alison Hammond and Dermot O’Leary.

Right at the start of the interview, Alison said the presentation couple would be ‘privileged’ to have Tina in the studio because she ‘does not do that many interviews’, reports MEN.

“You usually do not day and we are the people you come to,” Alison said, clearly pleased with her recent interview signing.

“I absolutely love watching you two,” Tina replied. “Right Fangirling right now,” she added before Alison, 47, had to confess.

“It’s nice to have you. I’ve surrounded Tina a bit already and I left my mark behind … I’m sorry,” the host said as Tina turned to show her shoulders off her pink Blazer was covered with makeup.

Tina, from Rusholme, hit the patch of foundation and other beauty products, said, “I will appreciate it forever,” as they laughed, and Alison added, “This is just for you.”

Alison and Dermot, 48, then cracked down on their interview, quizzing the soap opera about their time on the cobbles that came into the soap 16 years ago and are confronted with a whole host of story lines.

They include her infamous teenage pregnancy, and a channel run by her serial killer stepfather, and how she even helped bury the body of the local evil boy, and her former flame, Callum under her floorboards.

Fans could not help but notice that Tina, who first joined Corrie in 1999 when she was 16, but took a seven-year break in 2008, has not grown older.

@TraylorHolmes tweeted: “Tina O’Brien has not turned 23 years old #Corrie #ThisMorning.”

“Tina O’Brien is just not getting old! #Thismorning,” @Jo_DoeUK repeated.

@ 2009Ragdoll said, “Tina O’Brien is not getting old at all, is she? #ThisMorning.”

“#ThisMorning @thismorning Awe, just love Tina 0’Brien and her character. Her daughter is so sweet. Tina does not look old enough to have a daughter of that age,” @suzysasha added.

As well as talking about her soap past, Tina was also asked about her current storyline of how Sarah is ready to file for divorce from husband Adam Barlow, believing he had an affair with her new boyfriend Lydia.

However, as Corrie fans know, it’s all a lie, and the dog Lydia is hell bent on revenge and tears Adam’s life apart after owning a plane during her college days.

But because she could not give too much away, the discussion quickly turned to Tina’s daughter, Scarlett, who she shares with her former Corrie star ex, Ryan Thomas.

Speaking of how Scarlett will soon be in the spotlight, just like her starfish parents, Alison said, “What’s nice is that your own daughter, Scarlett, is taking your steps too. She’s going to be on Waterloo Road.”

“She is,” proud mother Tina, 38, replied before Dermot revealed that he had met Scarlett unknown to Tina. “I met Scarlett,” Dermot revealed. “I had a conversation – me unknown, I did not know she was your daughter – I had a conversation at Scarlett’s school and at the end we went on a book tour, and they were like ‘All questions? “, and there was this girl in the front row …”

“Was she in front and in the center?” Tina laughed. “She always manages to get to wherever she is in life,” to which Dermot replied, “Yes! There was no doubt who the star was in this school. She was lovely, she was so welcoming. “
