Lady Judi Dench, Dawn French and Jennifer Saunders caused a stir on Friday at The Repair Shop for Comic Relief.
Dawn and Jennifer redesigned their characters, The Extras, for the Red Nose Day Special.
The sketch turned the comedy duo into their alter ego in an attempt to get a free fix from The Repair Shop team.

A short clip shows the couple struggling to contain their laughter as they confess their love for the program and ask Jay Blades to sort out a repair.
“Don’t be silly about it,” Dawn warns her co-star as she chuckles.
However, foreman Jay, who is desperate to meet the couple, managed to catch up.
It comes after Lady Judi revealed that her partner David Mills had a strong competition for her hearts as she admitted to falling in love with Jay, 52.

Speaking to The Mirror before the special, Dawn spoke dirty to her friend Judi, admitting: ‘The reason we do not concentrate is because we are fangirls. Major Fangirling over everyone, in fact, everyone.
‘Then we bring in our friend Judi too. You have to save Jay Blades from Judi’s clutches at the end of the day, and then we’re next! ‘
Jennifer added: “And she’s a big fan – Lady Judi.” Oh he stole my heart “is what she said.

Dawn said, ‘I do not think we ever said no to comic relief because it’s just too important, and because it’s from our community, and we were there right at the beginning.
‘I know the money is going well and I know there are ongoing projects that need us to keep going and I would never dismiss anyone.
‘So I think the more we can do to strengthen and support, the better!’

Dawn said, ‘You have to save Jay Blades from Judi’s domes at the end of the day, and then we’ll be on the line next!’
Jennifer added: “When I looked at The Repair Shop, I thought all I could ever see was these characters going to the Repair Shop, or me and Dawn, pretending to repair something or imitating the characters. .
‘You know, I just thought, this is the show for us.
‘Then Comic Relief said we had The Repair Shop and it was like the perfect thing. It was so perfect! ‘

Jay admitted that the French and the Saunders’ appearance in the barn for the skit – which airs on this comic relief night TV special on Friday, March 18 – is a “real treat” for fans.
He said: ‘I can not believe the chaos that the two caused!
‘We’re always amazed by what we see in the barn, but trust me, we’ve never seen anything like it in the barn before – you have to look at it to see how funny it was.
‘For fans of the show, it’s a real treat!’
Red Nose Day 2022 is hosted by Alesha Dixon, David Tennant, Zoe Ball, Paddy McGuinness and Sir Lenny Henry, plus The Great Comic Relief Prizeathon is hosted by Joel Dommett and AJ Odudu on Friday.
