The Outfit is a gangster movie of classic billing in an elegant style. This first feature-length film directed by Graham Moore, screenwriter at the 2015 Oscars The imitation game, is thus well in phase with the protagonist’s state of mind. This latter exercises in effect the size of the tailor, reputed for the quality of its cups. His Expertise does, however, in the sense that he falls in love with an environment that he would undoubtedly prefer not to have to attend too.

Mettant en vedette le toujours excellent Mark Rylance (Bridge of Spies, Dunkirk), this thriller set us apart in Chicago in the 1950s, as it is set in the collective imaginary of cinema. The actor and incarnate Leonard, this British exceptional tailor who was installed in the City of Sales after a personal tragedy. At the very least, it’s what we suspect. Located in a neighborhood where the clientele is practically constituted as a gangster, its boutique has a meeting point where different criminal operations take place. The situation is complicated to infiltrate you into the entourage.

Thanks to a solid distribution in which he distinguished himself among others Zoey Deutch, in fiduciary assistant, and Simon Russell Beale (the latter in the role of head of the organization), The Outfit reste un film de belle tenue, même si Graham Moore ne nous offre ici rien de bien neuf. Subtle and nuanced, Mark Rylance’s performance is at the height of a feature film whose action unfolds in a single place, which also gives it a theatrical aspect.
