(CNN)According to Dallas Police Department spokesman Brian Martinez, one person was killed and several people injured in a late-night shooting in Dallas.
Police responded to reports of a shooting in the 5200 block of Botham Jean Boulevard around midnight, Martinez said in an email to CNN on Sunday.
“I can confirm that one person was shot and taken to a local hospital where they died from their injuries. Several people were also shot and injured in that incident,” he said.
Police warned that information is limited and investigations into the shootings are ongoing.
