Ajax defender Noussair Mazraoui has stated his demands for the type of club he wants to join this summer in the interests of Premier League sides Arsenal and Leeds United.

Speaking to Dutch publisher NOS, the Moroccan fullback has revealed that he is eager to join a team where he will be a key member of the first team, ideally playing in a big competition.

As per ESPN, Arsenal and Leeds are interested in Mazraoui. However, FC Barcelona seem to be the top scorer for the Ajax star, with NOS noting that La Liga Risen would like to sign the 24-year-old.

With Mazraoui also noting in the interview that Dani Alves is the one modeling his game, it will probably come as no surprise this summer to see the Eredivisie star in Barcelona in the upcoming transfer window.

However, according to Mazraoui’s recent comments, there could be a chance for Arsenal and Leeds to sign the right-back this summer, with the defender keen to join a club that plays in a big league that offers him regular football.

Mazraoui said when asked about his ideal next club: “The name of the club is important, but I’m also looking at the action plan. How I see myself at the club and how big the competition is. All of that combined will ultimately be the deciding factor to be.

Barcelona remain favorites for Mazraoui despite promising comments

Mazraoui was a sensation for Ajax this season and deserved more than his right to be promoted by the Amsterdam giants to play in a bigger league, but despite being relegated from the Premier League, Barcelona should still be considered favorites for the Defenders they land.

In fact, Barcelona are making impressive strides under Xavi Hernandez, and with the right-wing position in a position to improve on La Liga bosses, Mazraoui makes sense for all parties involved despite interest from Arsenal and Leeds ahead of the summer window.
