Last on Kane, Fleury, Forsberg

Patrick Kane stays in place, Marc-Andre Fleury may not be there and Filip Forsberg is somewhere in between when it comes to Monday’s NHL trade deadline.

“In Chicago, there were some rumblings about Patrick Kane,” Sportsnet Elliotte Friedman said during the 32 Thoughts segment of Hockey Night in Canada on Saturday. “His representative, Pat Brisson, said today that Patrick Kane will not be treated by the deadline. He also represents Jonathan Toews and Seth Jones, and said you can also expel them, they will not be treated by the deadline. But us all asked about Kane because of the rumors out there.Brisson said no.

But a prominent name on the Blackhawks could be on the way out of town to a candidate, Friedman added.

“Another name to look for in Chicago is Marc-Andre Fleury,” Friedman said in the same segment. “One of the teams of interest is Minnesota. (GM) Bill Guerin and Marc-Andre Fleury won a Stanley Cup together in 2009 (with the Penguins). I think that will be examined. We’ll see how everyone feels in the next 42 hours. “

The messy middle goes to Nashville’s Forsberg, who have been looking to get a contract extension for much of the season, but negotiations with GM David Poile do not seem to be going so well.

“Meanwhile, in Nashville, Filip Forsberg, word is that the contract negotiations did not go well,” Friedman said. “This can always change with a phone call, I’m always careful about making these kinds of statements, but I feel like David Poile at least tested the market to see what it’s for Forsberg. I do not think he it will be traded, but I think the predators at least look at this because the talks are not going well right now.

Meanwhile, Jeff Marek said in the same 32 Thoughts segment that there is one more notable name that carries out: Columbus Blue Jackets Forward Max Domi.

“That’s a name to look at even on a Monday, he’s on an expiring contract,” Marek said. “We believe the Washington Capitals are very interested, maybe Colorado and Boston. Washington would have a problem with its salary cap, however, could need a third party or could keep Columbus.”

The NHL trading deadline is Monday at 3pm / noon PT.
