United States: One missile killed at least 24 people

Fire coups were held in the parking lot of a car show organized in Arkansas (United States) this Saturday, March 19th. According to police, one person was killed and at least 24 others were injured, including children, during the shooting.

In a statement issued shortly after the fact, the forces of the order indicated that a person had been placed on guard duty. The searches are being continued today, Sunday, March 20, in order to determine whether other individuals “were able to pull the plug just after 7pm”, this Saturday.

This car show has taken place in the town of Dumas, which has some 4,000 residents. On Facebook, The Hood-Nic Foundation, an organism at the event, said “under shock” and “devastation”, stating that the exact state of the injured was not yet known.

Interrogated by the local KARK channel, one of the organizers, Wallace McGhee, assured that the event had the vocation of “promoting non-violence”. Describing the first instances of the shot, he explained that “the priority” had been “to put the children out of the gate (of the balls), to put the people out of the gate”.

According to data from the Gun Violence Archive site, nearly 9,200 firefighting deaths have been recorded in the United States since the beginning of 2022, including suicides. For the 2021 year as a whole, the same source had reviewed 45,000 deaths.

For many years, the fusillades of this genre have become a recurring remnant across the Atlantic. In the United States, the right to own arms is in effect guaranteed by the Constitution and attempts to regulate their sale are frequently blocked at the US Congress. The powerful lobby of the NRA arms throws a strong Afloss.
