Three days after a Pitch Invader tied himself to a goal post at Goodison Park, two more protesters tried and did not imitate it at Tottenham Hotspur Stadium.
Thursday’s game between Everton and Newcastle was held for about 10 minutes after a man wearing an orange T-shirt tied his neck with a post with a zipper strap.
The orange T-shirt has the message: “Just Stop Oil”.
Similar T-shirts were worn by a man and a woman who invaded the pitch during Sunday’s match between Tottenham and West Ham.
But neither of them was able to attach to the goal frames before they were caught and ejected by the city security.
The break in the game was short and it happened early in the second half after the ball was out of play for a Spurs corner.
The Spurs won the game 3-1 through two Son Heung-min strikes and an own goal by Kurt Zouma.
Said Benrahma was also on the scoresheet.
The result jumped Tottenham over Manchester United to fifth place in the Premier League table.
The Spurs also moved three points from West Ham, who played one game extra.
Tottenham are now within three points of Arsenal in fourth.
