As Kelly Clarkson once sang, “You got your chance, you blew it.” Anne Hathaway joined the superstar on her eponymous talk show on Wednesday (March 22nd) to promote her new Apple TV + miniseries WeCrashed, and stopped out-singing Clarkson at her own famous hit.

In a round of “Sing That Name That Tune”, the two women were asked to compete with the first songs to identify themselves by putting the lyrics in front of the other.
As it turns out, Hathaway proved to be pretty adequate in the game, and as Clarkson was already 3-0 behind, she landed the ultimate blow by wearing the cognition – and flawless belt – out. American Idol Champ’s very own 2004 smash “Since U Been Gone” after just a few quick drum beats.
Missed Clarkson’s funny reaction to her epic? Fall to your knees before spreading to the ground face first in shame. “How ?! How did you just know it dat? “she yelled.” She knew it about ‘Boom, Boom Boom Boom’! “
The Oscar winner replied, “Kelly Clarkson, if you do not understand how much we all love that song. Everyone here knew it at first. Everyone here knew it.”
At the time, game host Matt Iseman was screaming, “Anne Hathaway will be doing a Kelly Clarkson tribute show in Vegas,” while Clarkson continued to spiral. “St!” she erupted before shouting, “Should I just stop?”
With the score at 4-0 in Hathaway’s favor, Iseman moved on to the next song, but not before reminding the audience one last time: “Kelly Clarkson just missed her own song.”
