Emmerdale star Samantha Giles has been taken to hospital with a mysterious illness and fans have shared her support.
The actress, who plays Bernice Blackstock on the ITV hit soap, took to Twitter to share the devastating news and thank the NHS stuff for watching her.
Samantha wrote: “A big thank you to all the wonderful careful staff at @LiverpoolWomens for looking after me today. #NHS I’m fine and I’ll be home soon.”

Anyway, she did not reveal her illness, but the fans did not disappear for a while and ran to the comments section to share their support.

Samantha has been in and out of Emmerdale since 1998 and was a regular crew member until 2002, which was the first time she had left the soap.
She later returned for a stint in 2004 and more permanently in 2012 but left the soap again in 2019 with a desire to focus on other things.
She returned to Emmerdale last year, shortly before she celebrated her 50th birthday and has had a long acting career in the biggest soaps in the UK since the 90s.
She previously played the role of Sally Boothe in the ITV drama series Where the Heart Is, Valerie Holden in the Channel 4 soap opera Hollyoaks and also had a small role as Kirsty in Coronation Street between 1994 and 1995.
