Fate 2 Update 4.0.0.4 Patch Notes

Fate 2 has just launched its 4.0.0.4 update on all platforms, so here is the complete list of changes and fixes with this patch. This patch differs from most run-of-the-mill patches for Fate in a few ways. For one, this patch comes on a Tuesday, which is quite contrary to the standard updates we see Fate 2 on Thursday. Besides, the list of changes and bugfixes is surprisingly long, which means that some fixes may be made which you are quite happy with. Or at least, we hope so. Without further adieu, here everything is new with Fate 2 and its 4.0.0.4 update!

Fate 2 Update 4.0.0.4 Patch Notes

Activities

Throne World

  • Fixed a network issue that could be causing the destructive Pyramid Crux object, which is used in many activities to disinfect the client-host state, causing various issues and confusing players.
  • Fixed an issue where a third altar could be unknowingly active for a short time on the map.

Gambit

  • Fixed an issue that caused Gambit PvP to take advantage of using PvE values.
      • More specifically, Eriana’s Vow will no longer have one-shot opponents unless they have already taken damage from other sources.

Vow of the disciple

  • Fixed an issue where an unwanted symbol might appear where one of Rhulk’s attacks met the environmental geometry.
  • Fixed an issue where players could earn a lore entry while standing in front of just one of two symbols.
  • Fixes an issue where players shoot each symbol to pass the “kill” symbol check for the lore entry.
  • Fixed an issue where players could interfere with The Caretaker mid-wipe performance.
  • Fixed an issue where players had completed The Caretaker Encounter and activity would not resume.
  • Fixed an issue where Rulk enthusiasm would be softly locked when players spread Leeching Force as their last deposit happened.
  • Fixed an issue where players could drop raid banners by planting them as the excitement begins.
  • Fixed an issue where players could earn multiple lore entries by reloading checkpoints.

The Hex Queen Campaign

  • Fixed an issue where players could bypass death in the legendary campaign missions by leaving the Fire Team and participating again.
      • Players participating in the progress now require a revive.
  • Fixed an issue that prevented replayable nodes from appearing in the Witch Queen campaign on the Throne World map for a small portion of players.
  • Fix the displayed possible rewards for Legend difficulty for The Ghosts for Ascendant Alloy included.

PsiOps Battlegrounds

  • Fixed an issue where champions inconsistently spawned in PsiOps Battlegrounds.

UI / UX

General

  • Fixed an issue where some items were incorrectly highlighted as new, which had a negative impact on performance.
  • Fixed an issue where the overall gameplay might stutter or fall in the frame rate while the character inventory UI was loading.

Investment

Economy

  • Fixed an issue that caused Gambit Weapon and Armor Focus to cost more than expected.
      • Focusing now costs 10,000 glitter and 50 legendary shards each.
  • Rahool’s destination materials are now being sold for a stack of five for a legendary shard, matching Spider’s previous exchange rates.
  • Fixed an issue that still caused weapon telemetry to drop.
      • Players can safely delete all weapon telemetry from their inventory as they are no longer in use and will not be used in the future.
  • Fixed an issue where a Vanguard bounty, The Harder They Fall, only went on strike.
  • Fixed an issue where the Omega Catalyst Boost rewarded 3x progress instead of 4x.
  • Fixed an issue where the legendary campaign emblem, A Higher Truth, could not be equipped on platforms where the player does not own the Hex Queen.
  • Players who have not been able to block or get a Light subclass should be able to do so now.
  • Players should find the associated pursuits in their inventory when they first enter an orbit with space for the associated pursuit.
  • Fixed an issue where the Ritual of the Season Triumph with PvE Kills could be prescribed outside of Vanguard Playlists.
  • Fixed an issue where seasonal quest steps could be blocked once players reached the Psionic Intel Inventory limit.
  • Fixed an issue where nightfalls gave inconsistent call bonuses when they reached a platinum score.
      • Some strikes now reward additional reputation, others less rewarding.

Weapons craft

  • Climbed item hand tools currency caps.
  • Fixed an issue where the Sleight of Hand Trait Perk had incorrect crafting requirements.

Seals

  • Fixed an issue where the Moments of Triumph 2021 title could not be fitted.

Game play

Weapons

  • Fixed an issue where the Explosive Personality Grenade Launcher did not use the correct RPM stat for waveframes.
      • Note that the craft screen still shows the false RPM that will be fixed in a future patch.
      • The current weapon item will have the correct state.
  • Fixed an issue where The Logic Ornament for The Lament would appear backwards.
  • Fixed an issue where The Lament and Worldline Zero did not properly network their attacks.
  • Fixed an issue where a faint box around the hip fire reticle would be visible when using Osteo Striga or Forerunner.
  • All Glaives now reach full charge after four successful projectile hits instead of six.

Armor

  • Fixed an issue where the previous reduction in melee charging rate for Graviton forfeit was incorrectly applied in PvE activities.
  • Fix an issue where the Exotic Titan Helmet, Loreley Splendor, class ability would consume energy at death without spawning a sunspot (as in the case of taking enough damage to completely eliminate your health while you still have shields).
  • Players must first receive Vow of the Disciple Raid Mods before they can be applied to the armor of that raid.
  • Fixed an issue where some armor did not appear on the Appearance Customization screen, even after it was removed with Synthweave.
  • Fixed an issue where some rare armor sets could be infused.
  • Fixed an issue where the focus of an Umbral Engram could sometimes be the wrong armor to Warlocks.

Skills

  • Boss fighters no longer take additional melee damage while frozen by stasis.
  • Sentinel Titan’s Bastion Barricade now takes 20% increased damage from player sources.
      • This damage bonus stacks with other sources of anti-location damage such as the Hakke Breach Armaments Origin character or anti-barrier rounds.
  • Targets with Void Invisibility active now ping the radar for 0.6 seconds every 3 seconds until invisibility is over. Normal radar visibility rules still apply (ie double jump or sprint ping the radar).
      • Note: Now that we’ve seen feedback and data from the first weekend of Trials in season 16, we wanted to take a few steps to address some outliers in the Void 3.0 subclass kits.
      • These changes are specifically aimed at PvP and do not affect the PvE sandbox.
      • We believe some frustration stems from the prevalence and will diminish over time as additional subclasses are introduced into the 3.0 system, but wanted to address what we can do before next Trials weekend.
      • As always, we will be on feedback and will adapt where necessary.
  • Fixed an issue where Child of the Old Gods could damage some targets through immune shields.
      • Even if the child is not put on time, he now knows better and has sincerely apologized for any targets that have damaged his immunity.
      • We are grateful to have such a good child, and they are proud of them.

The platform

PC

  • Fixed an issue where several overlays could be causing the game to crash.
      • Includes MSI Afterburner and Razor Cortex.
