Tennis star Naomi Osaka is set to compete at the Miami Open this week and she used her time before the competition to celebrate with renowned media personality Kim Kardashian.
Osaka took part in Kardashian’s SKIMS Swim Miami pop-up at SWAN on Saturday night and posed for photos with reality star and restaurant co-owner David Grutman.
The Japanese star, who sat next to Kardashian and her sister Khloe, wore a very white ensemble, with a cream-colored jacket.
Osaka’s appearance in Miami comes after she broke down in tears at her last tennis event in Indian Wells.
The four-time grand winner was hacked by a member of the crowd during her third round match against Veronika Kudermetova and became visibly emotional in court.
After the match, which she lost in straight sets, Osaka explained to the audience why Heckler upset her and recalled a similar incident that happened to the Williams sisters in 2001.

“To be honest, I was hacked before, as if it didn’t really bother me,” she admitted. “But hacked here [Indian Wells]I watched a video of Venus and Serena [getting] here and if you’ve never seen it before, you should check it out.
“And I do not know why, but it went in my head and there was a lot of replay. I try not to cry. But I just wanted to say thank you and congratulations [to Kudermetova]. Yes, thank you. “
Osaka has not commented on the situation since then, but will likely receive a roaring reception in Miami, especially if it plans to play on one of the competition’s premier courts.
At the tournament last year, Osaka missed the chance to become the number 1 in the world and then fell to 78th in the ranking.
The 24-year-old received a wildcard for this tournament and is in the opening round against Australia’s Astra Sharma.
Another tennis star who attended Kardashian’s dinner was Amanda Animisova.
The US star is a rising talent and beat Osaka in the third round of the Australian Open this year.
However, she withdrew from her second round match at Indian Wells with an illness.
The 20-year-old will play compatriot Shelby Rogers in the opening round in Miami on Tuesday.
