New Chaser has announced to replace ‘The Governess’ with Beat The Chaser

A brand new Chaser has joined the panel of quiz experts on Beat The Chasers.

Issa ‘The Supernerd’ Schultz entered the show as a new chaser after ‘The Governess’ forced Anne Hegerty to stop the series.

The news comes as Anne explains that she’s unfortunately missing from the series, and wrote on Twitter “Unfortunately, I picked up Covid-19, so this series by #BeatTheChasers will not be filmed.”

Unfortunately, I picked up the Covid-19, so I did not film this series #BeatTheChasers. The fantastic ones @ Issa25 will be committed to me and I look forward to watching the series when it airs later this year. I feel good, but I’m still positive! (in all respects)

Schultz, who is a chaser on the Australian edition of The Chase, has now joined the cast of the spin-off ‘Beat The Chasers’, he should be a formidable opponent who has won the Australian Quizzing Championships a total of eight times.

The new Chaser was welcomed to the show by Chasers Mark ‘The Beast’ Labbett, Jenny ‘The Vixen’ Ryan, Paul ‘The Sinnerman’ Sinha, Darragh ‘The Menace’ Ennis, and Shaun ‘The Dark Destroyer’ Wallace.

Taking to social media to share his congratulations, Shaun wrote “The super nerd was just great! Issa it was an absolute pleasure to work with you again. I hope this will happen sooner rather than later.”

Beat The Chasers started in April 2020 and the current series is the fifth so far filmed.
