NORMAN – Oklahoma Redshirt Senior Lynnsie Elam an freshman Jordy Bahl collected Big 12 conference weekly honors for their performances in the Hall of Fame Classic over the weekend.
Elam was named Conference Co-Player of the Week after an explosive weekend at OU’s Sweep in OKC.
Elam hit four home runs, including three in the final vs. Iowa. In the game, she finished 3-for-3 with all three hits as a blast, two coming in consecutive bats, and eight RBIs. The three single-game homers set a program record, scoring only five times. The senior captain finished the weekend with .556 (5-for-9) with five extra-base hits and 12 RBIs for a 2,000 slugging clip. Elam struck just once this weekend, launching a perfect field goal in five games behind the plate.
Bahl continued to impress as she collected two wins in a row in the OU five-game set to earn the Big 12 co-pitcher of the week.
Bahl threw her second career individual no-hitter on Sunday against Iowa, excluding eight and conceding just two walks. On weekends, Bahl K’ed 18 batters and allowed just one run on three hits in two walks and three appearances in 11.0 IP. Opponents hit just .081 against Sooner Righty.
Elma collects her second career Big 12 weekly honor and the first since February 18, 2020, while Bahl earned her third conference honor of her Freshman season after being directly or part of three of the six Big 12 pitches of the week won awards.
