Four Israelis were killed and at least two others seriously injured yesterday as a former prisoner with Isis sympathy went on a rampage before being shot by a passerby.
Israeli police say the attacker arrived at a gas station in the southern city of Beersheba and crashed into a woman before getting into a car and a man ran over on a bicycle. He left the car again and crashed into a man and a woman before being pursued by witnesses, one of whom shot him.
The assailant was described as an Arab citizen of Israel who was recently released from a four-year prison sentence for terrorism charges, including spreading Islamic State propaganda to students in a high school while at work.
