She was rushed to the Royal Perth Hospital but died at the hospital, Police Commissioner Chris Dawson confirmed on Wednesday morning at 6PR.
Mr Dawson said it was a “very violent and tragic incident” which is now being treated as a murder investigation. “Despite efforts by family and police and hospital staff, this woman has now died at the hospital.”
Police said the man allegedly fled the scene and was hiding in a neighboring property when they arrived.
They deployed the dog unit and Police Dog Razor found the man shortly thereafter.
