Arsenal vs Wolfsburg LIVE: Ladies Champions League result and final score after late Lotte Wubben-Moy goal

Lotte Wubben-Moy scored a late equalizer to leave Arsenal’s Women’s Champions League quarter-final with Wolfsburg in balance after a 1-1 draw with the Emirates.

After 89 minutes, Wubben-Moy came close to leveling the score with a dangerous shot from the center of the area that went just over the bar.

It looked as if the Gunners were frustrated after Tabea Wassmuth’s header put Wolfsburg ahead in the first half, and the visitors had further chances as Wassmuth hit the post in the second half.

Stina Blackstenius and Beth Mead missed the chances for Arsenal, but Wubben-Moy’s late strike finally equalized the score before next week’s second leg, which takes place after Saturday’s North London derby against Tottenham.

Jonas Eidevall’s changes have done the trick for Arsenal. They came out as a different team in the second half, they pressed high, were quick on counterattacks and more disciplined behind.

They will experience their chances in the second leg, although Wolfsburg are a major threat. They would have shot two or three themselves in the evening despite less ball.

Next week’s match in Germany is therefore a cracker.

What a Game! It had almost everything bar it a red card and a penalty. Wolfsburg hit the post twice, Arsenal conceded a goal, there was a lat drama and after all, the teams could not be separated.

This will take place in the second stage in Germany on 31 March.

90 + 3 minutes: No. The free kick was won on the halfway line and Arsenal tried to run into the penalty area. Time is running out and the final whistle is blown to end the game in a draw.

Lotte Wubben-Moy saved the Gunners right at the end of the game to send them to level two in the second leg. It was a fair result for the home team, which did not deserve to lose.

Nothing to separate the two sides at the Emirates Stadium.
