Teenage girls say they have turned to the internet to learn more about their periods.
They resorted to videos on social media because they weren’t getting the information they needed at school.
“I remember after ‘How do I insert a tampon?’ was looking for,” said 17-year-old Lili.
Kathryn King runs the Bloody Honest account on TikTok, which she says aims to fill such educational gaps.
She said some of the questions she received showed a lack of basic body knowledge.
“It’s amazing to me that there is such a gap,” she said.
