Schools: The difficulties of getting back to normal

For many, the return to school life after the peak of the Covid pandemic could not have come soon enough.

But for some, it caused real anxiety.

Enrollment in Welsh schools has consistently fallen below 90% in recent months. Before Covid it was an average of 94%.

Education Secretary Jeremy Miles has warned that in “the most extreme cases” imposed penalties could be issued after being discouraged when the pandemic broke out.

However, students have spoken of the challenges of returning to everyday life.
