A university plans to spend millions of pounds to support student and staff living expenses.
The University of Warwick announced a £3.5million package for students from low-income families, as well as one-off payments to staff.
Members of the local community have also been invited to use the on-campus facilities this winter.
Students who receive a scholarship will receive a 10 percent increase in December.
Students from households earning under £16,000 can expect their payment to rise to £2,200 for 2022/23, the university says.
Postgraduate research students who receive the minimum scholarship also receive a 10 percent increase in their allowance.
For staff, the university has announced that 2,650 of its staff will automatically receive a living allowance of up to £550 in January.
“We know many people are struggling with their finances right now as household budgets are being hit hard by the cost of living crisis,” said Stuart Croft, Vice Chancellor and President.
He added: “We openly invite local residents to use our arts center which offers a friendly place for people to meet and stay warm during the day.”
