Edinburgh students protest over ‘no degree’ graduation

Protests erupted at graduation ceremonies at Edinburgh University as some students received blank scrolls.

University and College Union faculty members participated in a boycott of pay and working conditions.

The work of thousands of students at universities across the UK went ungraded.

As a result, no diplomas were awarded.

The union has said it will continue its action until employers make an improved offer on wages and working conditions.
