Touching moment Tom Parker appears on stage at The Wanted despite being too weak to stand

Wanted’s Tom Parker was supported by his wife and children as he took the stage in Liverpool, despite a brain tumor that left him too weak to stand.

Mrs Kelsey and the couple’s daughter and son, Aurelia, two, and Bodhi, one, were in the audience as Tom joined his bandmates for the final date on their UK tour on Thursday. The 33-year-old singer was diagnosed with stage 4 glioblastoma in 2020 and was left too weak to go through the illness.

Despite his condition, Tom joined The Wanted on some of their UK tour dates, with bandmate Max George marking him as a “hero” before her last appearance at the M&S Bank Arena. Max took to Instagram to share a black and white photo of him and Tom, Max wrote: “It’s been an epic week … One last show my son … You’re a real hero mate. Can do not wait for the next tour with you … Liverpool … Can you hear us ???! ”

Kelsey also shared a cute clip on her daughter Aurelia’s social media and people like fans “We love Tom!” sung.

Tom is now in a wheelchair and received treatment at a specialist clinic in Spain. After three weeks away from the band, the singer made his emotional return late last week and surprised fans on stage in Bournemouth.

The Wanted – made up of members Max George, Siva Kaneswaran, Jay McGuiness, Nathan Sykes and Tom – was founded in 2009, and has sold more than two million singles in the UK.

The band split in 2014, but announced that they would reunite in September of last year with a Greatest Hits album, titled “Most Wanted: The Greatest Hits”.
