WAYNE ROONEY has confirmed Derby hotshot Festy Ebosele will join Serie A side Udinese on a free transfer this summer.
The cash-strapped championship side have seen their squad in recent months.
And a clearly frustrated Rooney has revealed that the Rams will lose another top talent this summer.
Ebosele, 19, has shot 31 times for Derby in all competitions this season, shooting twice.
Rooney has revealed that the Irish right-back will join a ‘team in Italy’, with the transfer guru Gianluca Di Marzio confirmed Udinese are the club in question.
Rooney said: “Festy Ebosele will sign for a team in Italy next week.
“I think there will be an announcement next week.
“It’s purely out of my control. I would like him to stay.
“I talked to him. I know he would have liked to have stayed.
“But where we are, I can offer him nothing. The club can offer him nothing.”

A disgruntled Rooney continued: “He has made a decision to take care of his family and himself, which I respect.
“But I wish I was in a position where we could do something, but unfortunately we can not.
“The situation we are in now is where I did not want the club to be.
“Unfortunately, we are. I can not control that, that is about me.
“For the future of the club, I just hope things get straightened out soon.”
