The Jared Leto bed Method trading process is so notorious that he probably told Daniel Day-Lewis, “Quiet, girl“. Jared has the Suicide Squad Cast gross gifts from his character Joker, and even more recently, Ann Hathaway said she was barely meeting you “right” Jared Leto because he stayed in character while filming their limited series WeCrashed. But I think Jared does not think he is infinite enough because he has talked to Variety, saying that what he does is not called “Acting method,“it means”immersive work.It seems to me that the only thing Jared is hiding is his own ass, but I’m not the artist here!
Jared stars on Morbius the Sony x Marvel movie about an ingenious doctor, Michael Morbius, who suffers from a rare disease that eventually acquires vampire abilities. If you think that means Jared drinking months of blood to prepare for the role, then you’re wrong. But if you think he spent months making movies Too Much ™, you’re 100% right. While the film was promoted in an interview with Variety, Jared was asked about his method-acting process, which is not method-actress, thank you very much!
Doesn’t just mean acting as a method. “Immersive work, as I call it,” Leto says.
In the case of Morbius, he may not have shaved his teeth in small Dracula-like daggers, but he did extensive research by meeting with doctors and patients who could teach him about life with a rare, incurable blood disease. Once he had the psyche down, he immersed himself in the physicality to obtain a tortured monster. For example, Morbius struggles to walk, so he uses a pole for support.
Another actor, Leto says, may have taken an obvious approach and put a pebble in their shoes to help them hobble around the set. “But for me,” he says, “it’s an opportunity to learn.”
In the end, it is not clear what technique Leto used to control Morbius’ neck. “I don’t want to be too specific because I keep some of it to myself,” he says. “But I pulled myself in – no pun intended. I’m a sucker for a pun, but I did not mean that. I worked with people who had this specific physical challenge and then modeled it.
His co-star, Adria Arjonawho plays the scientist and love interest Martine Bancroft, said she was worried about Jared at the movies because of how he stays raised even when the cameras were off:
“I remember being scared of this type of spine,” she says with a laugh. “There should have been a physiotherapist on call.”
Do you give yourself scoliosis to commit to the bite? Great Choice! Direct, Daniel Espinosasays the crew was sometimes scared of him:
“I’m scared of Jared,” Espinosa says. “He’s really committed. You have to be careful.” In another scene in which Morbius spreads glass, “I could remember the crew,” Epinosa recalls. “It was a little creepy.”
Working with Jared Leto is dangerous work! Not only are you in danger of being cut by flying glass by such a committed actor, but you are also in danger of losing your eyeballs if they roll out of your head while you are his “immersive work“at work.
