Lisa Wilkinson, Peter FitzSimons’ daughter appointed The Aus Daily editor

Lisa Wilkinson’s 24-year-old daughter Billi FitzSimons is having fun with her mother after she landed an exciting role as editor.

Lisa Wilkinson and Peter FitzSimons’ young journalist daughter follows in her famous footsteps after shooting a plum roll as an editor.

Like her mother, Billi FitzSimons made a rapid ascent to the top of an Australian publication.

Billi’s career in journalism began when she was appointed editorial assistant at Mamamia in 2018, before securing a role as a news writer 18 months later.

Mamamia was created by media stalwart Mia Freedman, and Wilkinson hired Freedman as an intern Dolly Magazine 30 years ago.

Just five months after that promotion, Billi FitzSimons was promoted to Senior News Writer again before leaving the role. The Daily Aus as a political journalist in 2021.

“Very proud,” she wrote.

Earlier this month, Billi’s father, Nine Newspapers columnist Peter FitzSimons, was beaten for commenting on Alan Jones on Twitter.

Channel 7 Entertainment reporter Peter Ford has joined FitzSimons after posting a seemingly insincere message “concerned” about Jones – who is missing from his online series. Alan Jones Directly to the People for months.

Ford pointed out that the veteran broadcaster had recovered from painful surgery.

It comes after Jones disappeared from the Airwaves in December, despite declaring he was “everywhere” when he first launched his new online TV show with Australian Digital Holdings.

“I’m starting to get worried. WHERE IS JONESY ?, “FitzSimons posted of his insult since Christmas 2021.
