Vail Resorts launches 2022/23 Epic Pass with bold investment in guest experience

BROOMFIELD, Col., March 21, 2022 / CNW / – Today, Vail Resorts launched its 2022/23 Epic Pass products as the company makes bold investments in its staff, mountain resorts and pass holders.

Vail Resorts recently announced an incremental announcement $ 175 million Investments in its employees that increase their minimum wage $ 20 per hour across each of its 37 North American resorts, and the increase in hourly wages averaged 30 percent. This is in addition to over $ 300 million the company is investing in citizen experience next season, with 21 new lifts across 14 resorts to reduce lift line waiting times.

Epic for everyone: Epic Pass offers the best value in the industry

Vail Resorts is committed to making its passes accessible by offering incredible value, flexibility and choice, in exchange for a non-refundable advance commitment. Skiers and skiers who want the lowest price and exclusive benefits can now buy passes.

All passes come with additional benefits, including:

  • Buddy Tickets: Passholders who buy early will receive 10 buddy tickets and six skis with a friend to bring tickets for friends and family to share the ski and riding experience with a significant discount.
  • Epic Mountain Rewards: Passholders get 20 percent off on mountain food and beverages, lodging, group ski and ride school classes, equipment rentals and more. Passholders also receive summer benefits at eligible resorts, including summer scenic gondola rides, 20 percent off summer meals, lodging, bike rentals and golf.
  • NEW – Epic FlexPay: Passholders now have access to easy monthly repayments with Epic FlexPay, powered by Uplift. New for the 2022/23 season, the delay option includes zero payment, zero interest, and if purchased early, zero payments until September1.
  • Epic Coverage: Passes are non-refundable except through Epic Coverage, which provides reimbursements for certain resort closures and personal events such as job loss, injury or illness. Epic coverage is provided at no extra cost and passholders should check Epic coverage conditions Lift tickets are fully refundable but do not offer the value or flexibility of the passes.

For those who only want access to local resorts like Seven Springs, Mount Sunapee and Afton Alps, prices start as low as $ 44 for an Epic 1-Day Pass.

Epic Lift Upgrade: $ 300 million Investment in guest experience

In the 2022/23 season guests can enjoy themselves 21 new lifts across 14 coast-to-coast resortsplus new elevator-served grounds Keystone ass Bergman Bowl and expanded restaurant, too Keystone. Epic Lift Upgrade is Vail Resorts’ largest one-year investment in the ski and riding experience. The projects were designed to reduce the waiting times of the lift line and to get to and around the mountains easier and faster.

West:

  • Whistler Blackcomb will upgrade the 6-person Creekside Gondola to a high-speed 10-person gondola that will improve wait times, and replace it Big Red Express with a high-speed 6-seater chair to increase the mountain capacity by almost 30%.
  • Northstar will upgrade the Comstock Lift on a new high-speed 6-seater chair to reduce waiting times and increase mountain capacity by almost 50%.
  • Heaven Guests will take in the spectacular view of a new upgrade Norden Bowl Lifta high-speed 4-seater chair to reduce combined ride time of Boulder and North Bowl elevators.

Rocky Mountains:

  • Keystone is improved Bergman Schossel with 16 new trails, a new 6-person chair, and expanded access to 555 acres of land. In addition, Foodies appreciates a 6,000-square-foot expansion of its Outpost Restaurant.
  • Vail will introduce you Sun Down Lifta new high-speed 4-seater chair to reduce waiting times on seat 5 and give skiers more convenient access to footpaths and Sun Down Bowland the elevator Play Creek Bowl will be upgraded to a new high-speed 6-seater lift, which will increase capacity by almost 50%.
  • Breckenridge will be replaced Rip’s Ride with a high-speed 4-person chair at Peak 8, for an improved beginner ski and ride school experience, increase uphill capacity by almost 70%, and make it easier for guests to move from the area.
  • Park City Guests can enjoy themselves Silverlode is built on a new high-speed 8-seater chair, increases mountain capacity by 20% and reduces waiting times, as well as the new Eagle Lifta high-speed 6-seater chair with a new alignment in the middle station, replaces the existing lift, significantly reduces crossing and waiting time and improves the guest experience.

  • Vail Resorts welcomes three newcomers Pittsburgh-Region Resorts to its portfolio: Seven sources, Hidden Valley in the Laurel Mountain. These three resorts will be accessible on Epic Pass, Epic Local, Northeast Value Pass, Epic Day Pass and more.
  • Stowe adds a high-speed 6-seater Mountain liftwhich replaces a fixed grip triple to increase the mountain capacity by 100% and eliminate the steep hike to the base of the current lift.
  • Month of snow will replace two fixed grip triples, the Sundance in the Tumbleweed Elevators, with a new high-speed 6-person elevator that increase the mountain capacity by almost 70%. In addition, the current 14-minute ride time will be reduced by 30% if you Sunbrook Lift is built on a high-speed 4-seater chair, which currently serves underground space.
  • Attitash replaces it East & West Double-Double with a fixed grip 4-person chair to improve reliability and enhance overall guest experience.
  • Jack Frost and Big Boulder receive five lift upgrades, with the replacement and consolidation of multiple lifts at both resorts to improve reliability and enhance the experience.
  • Boston Mills and Brandywine Guests can enjoy two new fixed Grip 4-person chairs to enhance our reliability and overall guest experience.
