The British Legion Branch and Social Club in Galashiels is currently on fire.
Emergency services are on site, including four firefighters.
It is not yet known what caused the fire, but it appears that the damage will be large.
A spokesman for the Scottish Fire and Rescue Service said: “We were alerted on Monday 21 March at 11:32 am to reports of a fire in a building on Park Street, Galashiels.
“Operational control immediately mobilizes four firefighters and an altitude apparatus on the spot and the firefighters with breathing apparatus carry out the fire. There are no reports of casualties.
“Crews remain in place until the area is secured.”
