HOUSTON, Texas (KTRK) – Thousands of residents in the Houston area entered in the dark like thunderstorms.
According to CenterPoint Energy, 8,103 customers were without power from 9:15 a.m. Tuesday.

Several schools in the area are open late Tuesday morning as severe weather could lead to slippery road conditions.
A Flash Flood Watch is in effect until 9 p.m.
