Transfer Center, Jamayne Isaako signs with Gold Coast Titans, Parramatte Eels, Brisbane Broncos, instant release, Dolphins, News, Whispers, Signatures

The Parramatta Eels are left surprised after Broncos star Jamayne Isaako joined the Gold Coast Titans for the remainder of 2022.

Isaako has already signed with the Dolphins for the 2023 season and has fallen in Red Hill.

It has been widely reported that the 25-year-old joined the Eels, but has since made a shock move with 9News Ben Dobbin reporting that the band wanted to stay in Queensland.

The eels had chased Isaako as they dealt with injuries to their outside world and believed they had their husband only an hour before the Titans’ movement was confirmed.

Dave Riccio of the Daily Telegraph reported that no paperwork was introduced, prompting the club to suspect “something was in”.

“The Broncos have given Jamayne Isaako an immediate release of his contract with the club,” the club said in a statement.

“The Broncos were pleased to ease the request and wish Jamayne and his young family all the best for the future, both on and off the pitch.”

The Titans have confirmed the signing in a separate statement, with coach Justin Holbrook enthusiastic about the acquisition.

“Jamayne is experienced at the NRL level and has played on the international stage,” Holbrook said.

“He adds great depth to our outside backs and offers us coverage over both back and wing positions.

“We have strong competition across a number of positions and the addition of Jamayne gives us another exciting option to choose from in our backline.

“We had opened a place on our roster and we are thrilled that we can now add Jamayne to our team.

“With a number of talented young backline players on our roster, Jamayne will no doubt be able to help with her development during her time with the Titans.”

It’s a big blow to the elves who lost Haze Dunster to an ACL injury, while Maika Sivo is also on the sidelines.
