Martin Lewis addressed the call to take on a permanent presentation role on Good Morning Britain.
However, unfortunately for fans of the Money Saving expert, it seems we do not see him taking over Piers Morgan’s previous full-time job.
The financial expert insisted that the hours involved in presenting the ITV breakfast show did not match his day job, offering the public financial tips and tricks, which remains his top priority.
After hosting Good Morning Britain alongside Susanna Reid on Monday and Tuesday, Martin got praise for his presentation style, with many on social media urging him to appear regularly on the show.

In response, Martin tweeted: “Lots of nice comments about me making @GMB more permanent.
“Unfortunately, the workload in the hours means that it is not compatible with my day job, so I can do no more. Pity, as I enjoy the challenge.
“But being the money-saving expert is m’calling & where I think I have the most impact. I can not risk that.”

Along with the likes of Adil Ray and Richard Madeley, Martin has become a familiar face on Good Morning Britain following Piers Morgan’s sudden departure last year.
Since the departure of the fighting host, the bosses have chosen not to give any space to a full-time presenter, instead using a list of guest anchors to front the show alongside Susanna.
In November, an ITV rep told The Sun that there were “no current plans” to deviate from its current rotation of guest hosts, adding: “GMB is doing well with its established family of presenters and a rotation of guest presenters.”

On Monday, GMB apologized to Martin for making a “campaign call” as he urged Health Secretary Sajid Javid on the current cost of living crisis to draw attention to how people who use oxygen machines or electric wheelchairs are severely affected by rising energy prices .
“I hope I did not break some broadcast regulations by doing so and stepping over the line. But I think it was important,” he said.
Good Morning Britain airs on ITV on weekdays at 6pm.
