Boris Becker used a business account as a personal piggy bank, court said | News

Bankruptcy tennis champion Boris Becker took £ 249,000 from a business account he used as a personal “piggy bank” as he deliberately withheld assets from authorities, a court said.

He is charged with 24 offenses under the Bankruptcy Act regarding his June 2017 bankruptcy over a £ 3.5 million loan from a British private bank for a luxury villa in Mallorca.

Becker, 54, is said to have hidden 1.13 million euros (approximately £ 950,000) from the sale of a Mercedes car dealer he owned in Germany, which was paid into his Boris Becker Private Office (BBPOL) account.

He is also accused of failing to present nine tennis awards, including two of his three Wimbledon men’s singles titles and his 1992 Olympic gold medal.
