Playing 7s in Fiji is a great learning platform

New Zealand men 7s assistant coach Tomasi Cama Junior says playing 7s in Fiji is a great learning platform for the young players in the squad.

He says they have a young team participating in the 46th Fiji Bitter Marist 7s and the key for the team is to learn as much as they can when they are in Fiji and he hopes some of the young players get their name submit for selection.

This is the first time that the New Zealand men’s 7s team will participate in the Marist 7s tournament and they are in Pool B with Malake, Police White and Marist.

The Marist 7s start tomorrow with the Under 21s in the Women’s Competition, while the Men’s category starts on Friday.

The men’s quarterfinals start on Saturday at 2.50 pm, on Saturday at 5.30 pm the semi-finals and the finals at 7.30 pm on Saturday.
