Driver bailed after school crash deaths rearrest

The driver of a car that crashed into a school tea party, killing two eight-year-old girls, has been released on bail pending further investigations.

Claire Freemantle, 48, was rearrested on Tuesday on suspicion of causing death by dangerous driving.

She is due to report to a police station in late April.

It comes after the Met Police said it reviewed its investigation following the Crown Prosecution Service’s (CPS) decision last June not to charge Ms Freemantle.
