Gunshots can be heard in footage showing crowds of people attempting to board trains at Kyiv train station.
The Reuters news agency reported that Ukrainian guards fired warning shots to prevent a stampede as crowds forced their way onto evacuation trains. People have been uprooted from their homes as Russian troops advance into the northern districts of the capital.
