DOOLIN FOLK FESTIVAL 2022

Hotel Doolin, Co Clare, Ireland
10-12 June 2022

The eighth annual Doolin Folk Festival will take place on 10-12. June, 2022. Three days, three stages of folk, of top Irish and international acts, all taking place in Ireland’s largest small hotel, Hotel Doolin.

Over the years, the Doolin Folk Festival has had it all, from Limerick Rapper to Saharan Blues, from Clannad to King Kong Company, the festival takes the broadest definition of the Folk Festival and they believe that Folk Music is the music of the people, Folk music must be able to touch our hearts, capture the spirit of the times, comment on what is wrong in the world. As Frank Harte puts it, ‘those in power write history, those who suffer write the songs.’

In this year’s program you will find something that has raised the pain and isolation of recent years. Music is the glue that binds us together, and after a covid-forced two-year hiatus, the Doolin folks are up for grabs and have put together another diverse line-up for which the festival has become famous.
