Harmony restored at Wimbledon after doubles bust-up between Tan and Korpatsch

London (CNN)There was major drama at Wimbledon this week – but some off-court sniping has thankfully been resolved.

France’s Harmony Tan dashed Serena Williams’ hopes of a Wimbledon renaissance by dramatically bringing down the tennis great in a three-hour first-round epic.

But after Tan received praise from around the world for her performance, the next day she was criticized by her doubles partner Tamara Korpatsch for abandoning her opening match.

“Unfortunately my doubles partner H. Tan withdrew from our doubles today,” Korpatsch wrote on Instagram Wednesday after Tan withdrew, allegedly citing fatigue.

“She texted me this morning. let me wait here [until] an hour before the start of the game. I’m very sad, disappointed and also very angry that I can’t play my first double Grand Slam.”

In her post, Korpatsch said the situation wasn’t “fair” on her, before adding, “If you’re broken after 3 hours [three-hour] Play the day before, you can’t play professionally. This is my opinion.”

But now peace seems to have returned between the duo.

Korpatsch wrote on Instagram on Thursday: “Me and Harmony spoke and cleared up any misunderstandings. She has now made my injury clear to me and we have already apologized to each other.”

She added that she would delete her previous post and asked fans not to send “insults” to the player.
