Train drivers from eight rail companies will go on strike on July 30 over wage disputes, the Aslef union has announced.
The union announced the day of the strike after talks broke down over a wage offer to keep pace with rising cost of living.
The move comes a day after the RMT union, which represents rail workers such as guards and signals staff, said it would pull out on July 27.
RMT workers spent three days fighting wages and jobs in June.
